You may be asking yourself what a serious astrologer is doing writing a monthly horoscope. Indeed, this question was on my mind for a while when I took on this assignment.

I decided that easily 99% of the general population think that astrology is limited to what they read in the back of magazines or on-line in the form of horoscopes. As I have been a teacher all my adult life, as a professional astrologer I then have two choices. I can stay in an elitist world and say that I will read for those who already understand how much more there is to astrology than entertainment, or I can make an effort to teach what I know to tens of thousands of people. Artinfo has given me the platform to do the latter.

My purpose with the monthly column is to expose a much larger audience to a an entertaining and archetypal way of thinking that has helped many in the thirty years that I have practiced astrology. If this way of thinking stimulates the reader, then it is my hope that this becomes a bridging experience to explore astrology further and to find its depths and values.

I dedicate this column to all those who are seekers and who may stumble across astrology as a possible path. May the column serve as an entertaining entrance invitation.
